Schedule: Sunday-Thursday OR Tuesday-Saturday 8am-5pm Eastern

Forward Air is seeking an energetic, logistics-minded professional to support the growth of our successful “Power Only” program. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the fastest growing segments at Forward Air. As a Logistics Specialist, your key responsibilities will include optimizing load bundles, negotiating competitive rates, securing reliable capacity, and building long-term relationships with carriers. You’ll manage all aspects of carrier procurement, oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of orders, and collaborate across departments to deliver best-in-class service to both carriers and customers.

Responsibilities:

Develop new Power Only carriers and expand existing carrier relationships Learn about carriers’ preferences and build strong relationships with key contacts Create load bundles, and negotiate long-term rates with dedicated carrier partners Oversee the lifecycle of covered loads, including managing exceptions Act as the liaison between customer teams and carriers Proactively communicate service failures to internal teams and collaborate cross-functionally to determine best solutions Promote best-in-class service to our carriers and customers Network internally across teams Maintain expected service levels and other KPIs to drive business retention and growth Trailer Management | Create & maintain trailer pools based on business requirement Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor’s degree preferred Experience in Freight Brokerage Sales or a related sales industry\ A positive, 'can-do' attitude combined with a strong work ethic and a willingness to go above and beyond Strong relationship building skills Self-driven and highly motivated Ability to work weekends

Skilled in negotiation and influencing others Quick learner with strong multitasking abilities Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain a strong sense of urgency, and effectively execute responsibilities.
