Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Logistics / Sales Associate to join our team based out of our Flourtown, PA office!

Heidelberg Materials recently acquired Highway Materials Inc. Should you be offered employment and start employment during the calendar year 2024, Highway Materials Inc. will administer payroll and benefits for this business unit’s employees even though Heidelberg Materials is the business unit owner.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
The Logistics/Sales Associate provides logistics, sales and general administrative support to the Flourtown office operation and personnel. Working hours typically begin between 7:00am – 8:00am and the primary responsibilities are as follows:Process daily hourly hauling times sheetsProvide daily and weekly truck schedules for current and upcoming workLiaison with carriers to communicate information on haulingCommunicate and coordinate between Project Managers, Sales Representatives, Scale Clerks and Plant PersonnelMaintain certificates of insurance for carriers utilizing Microsoft Access and Avetta Prepare new carrier agreements and work with corporate to get new carriers activatedFill in as back up scale clerk (travel in 20 mile radius)Fill in as back up sales administrator Perform other duties, assignments and special projects as required
Essential Experience and Skills:Associate degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent requiredProven working experience in logistics or salesHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailExcellent customer service abilitiesDemonstrated ability to multi-task and flexibility to adapt to changing business situationsExcellent communication, organizational and time management skillsAbility and willingness to work overtime as requiredAbility to work as part of a team environment and being able to work independently as requiredComputer competency using MS Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and TeamsDemonstrated ability to multi-taskKnowledge of SAP is a plusComputer competency using MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Access, and TeamsThis position requires someone who can sit for a long period of timeHeidelberg Materials is a drug free workplace.
