Job Description:
This position will help support logistics department activities, to include the reorganization of a parts room and the relocation of a department work area.
Responsibilities may include:
+ Moving product and assisting with housekeeping duties.
+ Additional duties as assigned, to include the below: Assist with runner duties as needed (delivery and pick up of product from other buildings on campus).
+ Ensure that goods are stored correctly and safely, and warehouse space is used efficiently.
+ Receive incoming material into stock, complete order filling activities, stock replenishments, distribution, cycle counts, and shipping of products.
+ Timely reporting/documentation of completed shipments or material/parts issued. Perform cycle counts without supervision.
+ Gather, verify, and wrap & pack items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method used.
+ Appropriately label container/item to be shipped with appropriate identification. Record received and shipped items according to established procedures.
+ Ensure supply of raw materials, parts and components to production areas according to established guidelines without assistance.
+ Resources will be on 4-10hr. Shift, M-TH.,
+ Resources will be 9/80A Schedule.
+ Department start time is 7am.
Education/Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED
+ 1 year of previous experience related to job duties a plus
Physical requirements:
+ Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
+ Capable of standing for extended periods during the entire duration of shift
+ Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
+ Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
+ Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
+ Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
