Job Description Summary

               

The role of Logistics Planner will support the execution of Lamb Weston’s Logistics strategy. Will organize inner-basin transfer volume to provide high performance levels, monitor deliveries, assist carriers in resolving issues and communicate to appropriate parties, as necessary. Analyzes existing shipping processes for improvements and provide support for various implementation plans. This role is full on and fast paced within a team environment, it is a varied and rewarding job with duties ranging from data entry to documenting logistics calls, requiring high attention to detail. Responsible for monitoring deliveries, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining accurate logs of all transportation and goods.

Job Description

Sets up and coordinates all shipping and traffic requirements to place product at delivery point in accordance with the terms and conditions of the prevailing sales agreement.Special projects as assigned by the Manager Logistics Services or the Director Logistics Services.Must be organized and logical, willing to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures. •Must be able to work as part of a team in a fast paced and pressured environment whenever necessary, communicating effectively with both colleagues and clients and following verbal and written instructions.Offers solutions to assigned customer accounts by providing services based upon specific customer/company service identified standards.Interfaces with OTR, LTL, rail, sales, and customer service. Understanding of integrated systems. (ASI and/or SAP, EDI, Austin Labs, etc.)Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external partners.Able to access and prioritize business requirements.Knowledge and understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain business processes.Ability to multitask.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred)

A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.High school diploma or equivalent required1+ years’ experience in transportation

Skills and Experience:

Experience in logistics, customer service, or sales preferredA working knowledge of logistics coordination and order processingStrong PC skills to include WINDOW, WORD, EXCEL, 10-keyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent problem solving and organizational skillsStrong leadership qualities

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate’s work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $61,320.00 - $91,990.00
