Ensures on-time and accurate shipment of all products and intermediates (Nalco manufactured raw materials) to customers, warehouses and other plants. Also ensures compliance of all shipments with company and governmental regulations.Directs safe and effective warehouse operations for finished and intermediate products and raw materials and suppliers. Develops new handling and storage techniques as required. Maintains plant inventory control systems, including periodic physical inventories and providing pertinent inventory data to various Nalco personnel as required.Works with various production personnel to coordinate production schedules based on raw material availability and customer order priority.May direct one or more of the following: the order entry function, truck driver activity, printing of labels and packaging.Manages customer complaints system and root cause analysis, supports various capital projects involving warehouse and tank storage systems.Maintains a safe and orderly work environment within the department.Prepares and administers annual department budget. Monitors expenses throughout the year to ensure costs are within amounts budgeted. Recommends and justifies capital equipment to Plant Manager.Selects, trains, develops and motivates a supporting staff in accordance with company policy. Recommends/approves performance appraisals, salary adjustments, staff additions and terminations.May represent Nalco at various community, professional and business group meetings. Conducts plant tours as required. Develops a working knowledge of and a relationship with the community.Supports the guiding principles of Responsible Care to continually improve Fresno’s plant’s safety, health and environmental performance, process safety, security, and efforts to respond to public concerns relating to design, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, distribution, use and ultimate safe disposal of chemical products.Supports and is committed to the Quality Improvement Process. Plans strategies to ensure error-free work by “doing it right the first time” and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties.Supports and incorporates the activities of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) into ongoing work duties through teamwork within and across departments. Use TPM to eliminate losses and waste that hamper facility effectiveness so that safety is advanced, process and equipment are reliable, quality is stabilized /improved, and reduce operating costs. Serves as the Lean Flow Pillar Lead.referred Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Systems Engineering or a related field5 - 10 years related experience, 2 - 5 of which should be in a supervisory capacity in warehouse management, inventory management and shipping & receivingMust be able to train, motivate and develop a staffFamiliar with Fleet operations, 3rd party vendor relationshipsKnowledge of supply chain financial measurements of Operations, Capital Management experienceExtensive experience using MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), SAP, ERP and other relevant computer software and systems effectivelyISO 9001/RC14001 experienceComfortable with TPM and the associated processes and tools to improve plant operationsMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree8 years related inventory management experience, including transport and remediation of hazardous materials 2 years of previous supervisory warehouse management experienceNo Immigration Sponsorship availableAnnual or Hourly Compensation Range
The base salary range for this position is $117,200.00 - $175,800.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.Benefits
