Logistics Manager

First-level manager responsible for managing the activities of supervisors and/or individual contributors who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.Manage the logistics schedule and issue a resolution process.Develop and manage the schedule, performance requirements and operates within a budget.Identify and strategize cost reducing tactics and efficiency improvements that add value to business and customer operations.Manage the workplace safety standards to ensure compliance.Responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews for supervisors and/or individual contributors.Advise subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve logistics problems.Build spreadsheets to track and manage multiple tasks.Manage Navy inventory across several databases including MS Access, Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), and ERP.QA subordinates reports to ensure accurate compliance with CDRL’s.Be proficient in the MS Office suite, specifically Excel and Access.Maintain full accountability of Government Material at multiple locations.Organize and manage a warehouse of 24,000 sq ft consisting of over 10,000-line items.Capable of team building, mentoring, and developing subordinates.Experience in working with other groups to achieve a common goal and meet the mission.Ability to adapt and change as the customer requires.20+ years of experienceBA/BS degree
