About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the Combat Service and Combat Services Support Readiness and Sustainment (R&S) Directorate. Responsibilities Manages a comprehensive program of logistical support for multiple programs within the portfolio. Serves as the principal point of contact for all logistics support activities for assigned Systems. Develops logistic plans to assure integration of various logistic functions in support of assigned Systems. Participates in the development of basic budgetary requirements for adequate logistics support of assigned systems. Represents Managers Office at conferences or meetings with representatives of AMC, DA, other services, foreign countries, and private industry, relative to logistic plans and objectives. Conducts a total annual reconciliation of Government property with the primary hand receipt holders. Reviews and approves inventory reports to assure compliance with all regulations and to ensure that appropriate adjustments are made when necessary. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Position is designated non-critical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.2-R. This requires that a personnel security investigation be adjudicated on a pre-appointment basis which may take up to 90 days or longer to process.
