About the role

The logistics manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations such as warehousing (internal and external), inventory accuracy, transportation (local & international), import & export, and supply chain processes. The logistics manager ensures product and inventory distribution in a cost-effective way. They lead the logistics management activity in the sub-region, managing the performance of transport, warehousing, distribution planning, overseeing execution and procurement activity and tracking KPIs.

Key responsibilities Manage logistics operations, including warehousing sufficiency (internal-external) and transport sufficiency for the planning horizon through negotiations and bids with external suppliers. Maintain an efficient cost structure for logistics operations, supporting margin and corporate COGS goals. Lead Accelerate initiatives by generating cross-functional ideas to achieve year-over-year savings, enhancing COGS efficiency. Provide an efficient and effective logistics footprint for the business, ensuring optimal customer experience and internal distribution between plants and warehouses. Oversee inventory management, warehouse operations, transportation, and other logistics processes. Develop strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs. Ensure customer satisfaction, quality in distribution, and full deliveries. Monitor and analyze customer experience and delivery performance (OTIF to request). Supervise the shipment process from acquisition to delivery. Communicate with clients, suppliers, warehouses, and transportation hubs to ensure efficiency. Build relationships with key third-party logistics (3PL) providers. Plan and implement efficient and cost-effective delivery strategies across the regional plant and warehouse network. Qualifications and skills Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Operations, Business Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced engineering degree is a plus. 5-7 years of supply chain experience, including Supply Planning, Procurement Operations, International Logistics, Operations, Customer Service, Industrial Engineering, and Logistics. Experience with inventory, replenishment, plant scheduling, or logistics with proficiency in APO planning software and SAP. Knowledge of ports in Mexico, El Salvador, and complex roads (plans A, B, and C). English Intermediate.
