Logistics Data Analyst (F/M/X)

About the role 

Our logistics team is composed of approximately 5 people and is part of the 15-person EMEA Supply Chain department for Global Business Unit Special Chem at Solvay. This logistics role primarily focuses on providing visibility through data analysis, including developing and deploying reporting tools to improve efficiency in our day to day logistics operations in collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders. It has a strong focus on digital analysis and report development through extraction and manipulation of data from multiple sources, such as ERP and various transportation management software solutions. As a Logistics Data Analyst, you will report to the EMEA Logistics Manager and will work on improving logistics performance through performance visibility and lead/support logistics solution projects on a global basis.  You will have a positive impact on cost, service to end-customers, sustainability and supplier relationships for the supply chain function of the GBU. You will be accountable for: Monitoring warehouse, carrier and freight forwarder performance based on KPIs Communicating and suggesting actions to improve supply chain performance based on reports generated  Supporting process deployment and change management among teams Supporting the logistics and transportation teams in creating sustainable solutions to better service our customers in support of Business Unit strategy Monitoring and tracking savings within relevant tools to assist in representing the Business unit in projects with corporate purchasing Providing feedback to logistics suppliers on performance


We offer a permanent term contract based in Lyon, hybrid working model is possible.


 About you

Relevant education degree or equivalent: Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science or a related field. Minimum 2 years of working experience in analysis and transactional matters ideally related to logistics and Supply Chain. Project and Change Management experience are a plus.  Relevant work experience in logistics or transversal projects are a plus.   Competencies:  Critical & Structural thinking, with an analytical mind. English: fluent writing & speaking, French & German are an advantage, other languages always a plus. Solid understanding of SAP and its reporting functions (BW, Sprint). Strong knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques. Behaviors: Ability to challenge and adapt to existing ways of working, but also to lead change. Ability to act, communicate, and influence multi-stakeholders in a global environment across different organizational levels; Ability to collaborate and reach consensus with cross-functional teams and a wide range of stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and bring innovative new ideas for discussion and implement.


About the pay and benefits

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the France base pay reasonably expected for this role is 43 200 to 54 000 EUR, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
