We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will build and manage a network of carriers, negotiate transportation rates, and maintain consistent booking numbers. You will communicate effectively with carriers through various methods including phone calls, emails, and portals, and manage load postings on multiple outlets as directed by the Regional Manager.
Responsibilities
+ Build and manage a network of carriers.
+ Effectively communicate with carriers via phone calls, emails, and portals.
+ Manage load postings on multiple outlets as directed by the Regional Manager.
+ Negotiate transportation rates.
+ Maintain consistent 'booked by' numbers as determined by the Regional Manager.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Excel, data entry, and Outlook.
+ Experience in logistics, including tracking, negotiating, and booking freight.
+ Strong email correspondence and administrative support skills.
+ Knowledge of dispatching, scheduling, and coordinating freight.
+ Experience with intermodal operations and dispatch customer service.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Experience building strong relationships.
+ Time management and multitasking abilities.
+ Ability to work as part of a team in stressful situations.
+ Mediation and crisis resolution skills.
+ Quality control of booked freight and responsible communication.
