The Menominee Mill (located in Menominee, Michigan), produces high-quality recycled bleached kraft pulp annually for manufacturers of uncoated free sheet, commercial and away-from-home tissue, and coated paper in the United States.

We are recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator that will negotiate freight rates, receive requests for wastepaper shipments, set up pick-ups at multiple locations, track and complete all paperwork along with data entry.  This position is a full-time day shift position that reports to the Wastepaper Procurement Manager.

 

The Logistics Coordinator will negotiate freight rates with multiple carriers after receiving requests for wastepaper shipments from wastepaper vendors, create purchase orders for suppliers, create release number for each shipment requested, process paperwork daily for inbound wastepaper shipments after trucks have been scaled at the receiving office.  Additional duties will include receiving of bill of ladings for outbound shipments and process paperwork through the invoice stage, finalize shipment for payment and create settlements for border crossing agents on Canadian loads.

 

Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma (or GED) and one to three years in a manufacturing environment. Teamwork is essential in this position in working with vendors to ensure shipments are delivered where and when scheduled.  Qualified candidates will need to possess strong organizational (both written and oral) and multi-tasking skills, be able to handle multiple priorities, be detailed orientated with attention to detail.  Candidates also need to be proficient in Microsoft Computer Programs (word, excel, email).
