Job DescriptionGDIT is seeking a Logistics Analyst supporting customers at the Department of Homeland Security Headquarters on the St. Elizabeths Technology Services II (SETS II) program.
The position will involve close coordination with the Project Managers and Engineers working on the Cyber Security and Infrastructure Security (CISA) Headquarters project on the St. Elizabeths Campus in Southeast Washington, DC. Responsibilities will include:
Collecting correct bill of materials information from the Project Managers and Engineers and translating the material request information to request for quote forms.Sending all request for quote forms to the SETS II Warehouse Manager for entry into the SC360 program. May include learning to enter the data in place of the SETS II Warehouse Manager specifically for this project.Collecting quotations from buyers and analyzing the quotes, ensuring that price, lead time, availability, etc. are all considered, depending on the order.Managing the procurement tracker for the CISA HQ project, including receipt of orders, approval statuses, order numbers, balance of material funding, purchase order (PO) numbers, etc.Coordinating with GDIT buyers, supply chain management (SCM) designated points of contact for the program/project, vendors, and SETS II Engineers to answer questions about part numbers, quantities, licensing, etc. to obtain accurate and timely quotesTracking order statuses in Oracle AP Web Query/follows up with buyers/vendors on order statusesAssisting with other direct cost (ODC) scopes of work and purchases for the project (i.e., small electrical work, equipment rentals, etc.), tracks these orders when applicableUpdating the Project Managers on order status and material budget remainingMay include assisting with asset management tagging/tracking for applicable ordersMay include assisting SETS II Procurement team with sending purchase requests forward for approval, depending on volume during specific times.Knowledge and Skills &Education:
3-5 years of experience managing or assisting with supply chain management (SCM), procurement, and/or logistics projects/programs or equivalent educational background (i.e., degree in a related discipline)Strong organizational skills, including the ability to track large amounts of budgetary and procurement information accurately.Strong attention to detail, including comparisons of many part numbers and expected pricing to received quotes to ensure orders placed are accurateBackground in technology systems and the ability to understand audio visual, physical security, and information technology parts and services being ordered a plus.Ability to serve as a liaison between multiple internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, buyers, vendors, the SETS II procurement team, and the GDIT SCM teamCommitment to high quality deliverablesStrong working knowledge of tools used on the program, including MS Project, Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint.Ability to work both independently and with guidance from the Program Management and Engineering teams.Must be able to obtain a DHS Entry on Duty (EOD)
