Basic Job Functions:

The Logistics Administrator will be directly responsible for scaling in and out all trucks entering and exiting NYS, entering data information electronically, communicating all safety requirements and adequate directions to carriers, and communicating effectively with all other affected NYS Team Members.  The Logistics Administrator will also be expected to contribute to continuous improvement of safety culture, support company activities, and develop relationships with all NYS Departments, as well as OTR carriers and customers. The Logistics Administrator will work shift to include nights, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Preferences:

D.O.T and Haz-Mat Certification

Logistics Background (OTR Hauling, RRs, Barge Lines, Transloading, etc.)

Proficiency with AS400, Oracle, Carrier Point, Intellitrans, Excel, Word, and PPT
