- Integration and Technical Liaison: Build seamless integration points between Uber’s internal services and tools, connecting them to our MT/LLM pipeline. Act as a technical liaison for customers and external clients, gathering requirements and discussing potential integration points to optimize our MT/LLM pipeline’s efficiency and utility.
- Best Practices and Guidelines: Establish and define MT-only and MT + LLM best practices for all clients, whether new or existing, to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency in our localization efforts.
- Model Selection and Evaluation: Work closely with Localization Operations (LocOps) and ML/LLM/AI engineers to select, evaluate, analyze, train, and deploy the most effective MT and LLM models. Your goal will be to enhance both internal and external localization processes.
**What You’ll Need**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years running MT/ML/AI programs and 1+ year in localization within the high-tech industry (client or vendor side)
- Strong understanding of MT engines, LLM models (size, cost, training, use cases), NLP, and computational aspects
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Perl, Go, Ruby, Postman, SQL) - strong Python is required
- Ability to streamline processes, optimize workflows, and navigate ambiguity with minimal guidance
- Solid grasp of localization operations and internationalization processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business judgment skills
- High attention to detail, quality-focused, proactive, and a team player
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
- Passion for Uber’s mission and a self-directed, initiative-driven approach
- English Proficiency
**Bonus Points**
- 3+ years AI/ML experience leading MT/LLM programs on the client side
