*** Position Overview** The Local Driver is responsible for safely moving materials from our Elkhart campus plants to our Syracuse campus plants. This person will also transport materials between our Elkhart plants and our local suppliers. During slow times, this person will work in the receiving department doing various material handling functions that range from forklift operation to pallet jack, or carrying, lifting, and labeling various packages. Essential Job Functions * Know how to operate a forklift * Must have a Class A CDL license * Know how to handle hazardous materials * Able to load and unload trucks Non-Essential Job Functions * Must be a great problem solver * Communicate well with others * Keep work areas organized and clean Requirements • Must have a Class B CDL license • At least one year of forklift/material handling experience • Able to sit, stand, walk, and use hands regularly • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and bending on occasion • Must be able to work in seasonal weather • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds of material • Available for mandatory overtime on shift notice Other Skills/Abilities • Ability to be cross-trained in other areas of the receiving team as needed PPE Requirements • Safety glasses • Gloves • Seat belt Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
