Your role and responsibilitiesAs CMD Spain, you will be responsible to coordinate and drive to success your local sales organization. In this position you lead and develop the Spanish sales organization, that covers also Portugal and have direct responsibility for all its activities. You work in straight collaboration with Regional Managing Director Southern Europe by defining sales budget, targets, goals and relevant commercial strategies to achieve them in alignment with corporate’s objectives. For our customers, you will play a crucial role in ensuring their needs are met with the highest level of satisfaction. You will oversee the implementation of customer-centric strategies and initiatives within the organization, working closely with the sales team to address client concerns and foster strong relationships.• Assume full P&L responsibility and develop the Spanish organization and its people according to business plan.• Develop and implement strategic plans, goals and objectives to drive business growth and expansion in both Spanish and Portuguese market, in alignment with regional and global sales strategy.• Achieve & implement sales targets in respect of both budgets, sales efficiency, and profitability. Ensure profitable business growth by maximizing market penetration.• Lead and manage the country team, fostering a high-performance culture and motivating staff to achieve goals. Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, skilled and managed. Oversee daily operations to ensure seamless functionality and identify areas for improvement.• Guarantee high-level satisfaction and strong partnerships for key customers while developing further relationships with existing and new customers. Collaborate closely with all internal stakeholders such as executives, upper management, product development, operations.• Responsible for the Governance, Risk and Compliance of the entire business legal entity with local laws and regulations. Fulfill fiduciary duties on behalf of the local legal entity.• Ensure that the country organization follows important guidelines regarding the ABB Integrity and business ethics.
Qualifications for the role10+ years of experience in industrial automation, working as a senior leader in a similar role.Extensive experience in leadership role, preferably as a Country Manager, Business Unit manager or similar position. Proven leadership skills in developing organizations, teams, and individuals, coupled with outstanding analytical, critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.Strong expertise in Industrial Automation with experience in selling and supporting technical product sales and technical solutions sales. Strong knowledge of the industry and the market dynamics within the country.Outstanding interpersonal skills, adept at building high-performance teams, with a strategic mindset, customer orientation, and demonstrated experience in developing strategies and business plans.Ability to develop talent within the organization and drive change managementA degree in engineering (preferably in electronics or mechatronics) or equivalent discipline.Native speaker in Spanish, business fluent in English. Speaking Catalan and Portuguese is an advantage.
