Loan Specialist
Summary This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Little Rock Commercial Loan Service Center in Little Rock, AR. The incumbent is responsible for the direction of all SBA work conducted at such Center including, but not limited to administrative operations, servicing, liquidation, purchasing, post-servicing (PSA) of SBA 7(a) and 504 loans as may be assigned by OFPO to that Center. Responsibilities Review and make final decisions on financial analysis performed by Specialists on loan servicing, liquidation requests, debenture purchase and/or requests for guaranty purchase. Analyze the most complex and/or problematic 7(a) and 504 loans nationwide, where extraordinary circumstances require an expert's opinion, and determine the most appropriate final action. Prepare written financial reports, meet with customers, management, third-party reviewers and/or auditors, political interests, industry representatives, or other interested parties to convey complex financial information, eligibility policies, procedures and other technical information in a positive, and effective manner. Ensures that Center staff is meeting quality standards by identifying training needs and recommending training opportunities to the center management. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-13: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: performing the following types of tasks: performing financial, loan, and loan approval analysis; and processing, underwriting and collateralizing commercial and/or business loans; and determining cash flows and repayment ability on complex business and/or commercial loans; servicing and/or liquidation of commercial and/or business loans.
