Job Title: Loan OfficerLocation: Baltimore MD Position Type: Full-Time, Hybrid Schedule after 90 days
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Loan Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in loan origination, exceptional customer service skills, and a comprehensive understanding of the loan process. The Loan Officer will be responsible for assisting clients in securing loans for a variety of purposes, from home purchases to refinancing.
Key Responsibilities:Evaluate, authorize, and recommend approval of loans.Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine the feasibility of granting loans.Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services.Stay updated on loan products, underwriting policies, and regulations to provide accurate and timely information to clients.Maintain detailed records of loan applications, approvals, and denials.Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and real estate agents.Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations throughout the loan process.
Qualifications:NMLS License: Must hold a valid NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System) license.Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Loan Officer.Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.Credit Union Experience: Prior experience working in a credit union is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of mortgage loan products, procedures, and regulations.Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Proficiency in loan origination software and Microsoft Office Suite.
