General DescriptionVerifies, compiles, and analyzes application information for mortgage loans.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStudies the information received in the mortgage loan application searching for a better understanding of the client and the property intended to finance. Understands the requirements and conditions of each mortgage product, validates each aspect of the application in order to sustain an effective evaluation. Contacts the client to guide, clarify doubts and request necessary documents in order to continue with the evaluation process. Submits required /gathered documents for credit decision and/or loan closing. Analyses and works with appraisal, office documents and legal situations to complete closing.
Minimum Education + 60 Bachelor's Degree Credits ApprovedExperienceA minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the banking industry, risk, mortgage products, and credit policies / procedures. Intermediate knowledge in: accounting and economic principles, federal and local banking regulations and financial markets and two (2) years of experience on income taxes and financial statement analysis.
Other Qualifications Knowledge on income taxes and financial statement analysis. Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, both oral and written. Intermediate/Advance skills in systems such as Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint Focused on achieving results through collaboration and teamwork. Skills to develop and maintain good relationships with clients, anticipate their needs, present alternatives to solve situations and provide follow-up to agreements reached. Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
