Opportunity:  Loading Dock Clerk

 

An opportunity to work in the purchasing department. Primarily responsible for the loading dock area and delivery of food products to the hotel.  This role must adhere to established standards and procedures.

Essential Job Functions

 

Position Requirements

Move items to/from staging area using a forklift or pallet jackMaintain the cleanliness of the loading dockEnsure items are packaged safely before shippingDocument both shipping and receiving informationMaintain a clean and safe workplaceSorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product codeRead and interpret shipping labelsHand load, rewrap or stack freight as necessaryFrequent contact with production facility personnel; fast paced and deadline orientedPractice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

High School diploma or equivalentAbility to operate a sit/standup forklift

Work Environment and Context

Work schedule may include working some weekend days.Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping and kneeling.
