Litigation and Investigations Paralegal

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with attorneys and professionals within the Litigation, Investigations and Legal Operations team.

Support and manage litigation and internal investigations matters, including tracking and updating matters, preparing minutes of calls with Legal and Compliance leadership and business stakeholders, managing eDiscovery, reviewing documents, conducting basic legal research, scheduling and participating in interviews, helping draft investigation reports, and assisting with invoicing and budgeting.

Maintain comprehensive statistics and metrics and prepare substantive reports of litigation and investigations matters to meet internal and external reporting requirements.

Prepare briefing materials and summaries for GE HealthCare leadership and Board of Directors.

Prepare biweekly briefing of global government enforcement news and key legal developments for members of the Global Law and Policy team.

Organize and schedule team meetings, and manage calendars, travel and expenses for team members.

Manage all types of daily correspondence to ensure timely response and appropriate prioritization.

Interact with GE HealthCare personnel globally at all levels, particularly the Compliance organization, internal business staff, outside consultants, and law firms.

Work closely with business attorneys and business units to respond to any requests, including subpoenas and discovery requests.

 

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience in Administrative and Litigation paralegal experience in a corporate or professional business environment, supporting the activities of a department/team or senior manager OR associate's degree and 7 years demonstrated Administrative and Litigation paralegal experience in a corporate or professional business environment, supporting the activities of a department/team or senior manager.

Expert in PowerPoint and proficient in Excel, including the use of pivot tables and charts.

Strong writing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Strong time and project management skills. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting to changing priorities and following through on all assignments.

Ability to innovate and problem-solve to streamline processes and drive efficiency.

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Ability to maintain security of highly confidential information - discretion and confidentiality required.

Willing and able to flex work hours periodically based on business needs.

Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels of GE HealthCare.

This position is based at GE HealthCare’s Chicago headquarters with a minimum in-office requirement of 3 days per week.
