Our Minneapolis office is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Administrative Assistant to join their team! This candidate will provide a high-level of administrative support in handling various complex commercial, civil, and defense litigation matters.

A Day in the Life

As the Administrative Assistant, you will provide high-level legal and administrative support to Partners, Associates, and Paralegals. You will prepare, revise, and finalize correspondence, pleadings, documents, and other clerical assignments as delegated. Additionally, you will maintain attorney calendars, make travel arrangements, and process monthly expense reports. You will run conflict checks, open new client/matter engagements, maintain electronic and paper client files, and set up billing requirements for clients.

 

Your responsibilities will include entering attorney time in the time entry system, filing documents with appropriate courts (including e-filings), scheduling depositions and other client meetings, and communicating with clients as necessary. You will also assist with billing and client invoices and maintain and update contacts.

We Know You

The ideal candidate will have recent State and Federal litigation experience within a law firm, particularly in CA. They must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and handle unscheduled events that may require changing priorities. The candidate must have strong writing and communication skills to interact effectively and professionally with employees, clients, and attorneys. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, strong typing skills, and excellent proofreading skills are required. Experience with a document management system, docketing system, billing, and time entry programs is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with proactive work habits.
