The Senior Linux Systems Administrator will deploy new servers, maintain and enhance infrastructure, and provide day-to-day troubleshooting support. This opportunity demands expertise in managing the full lifecycle of Linux and Windows platforms. The candidate will develop automations for building and patching Linux and Windows servers using Ansible Automation Platform and ensure STE/STN compliance. Additionally, they will interact with product owners and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues across multiple systems and network environments. The position involves analyzing recurring problems to prevent reoccurrence and optimizing existing infrastructure for performance enhancements.
Responsibilities Include:
Support IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customersOptimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning, as well as trouble shooting IT SystemsConfigure and manage operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.Leverage Ansible modules to monitor system health, identify issues, and implement automated remediation strategies.Manage switch configuration and apply STE/STN compliance requirements to servers and network device while supporting the playbook.Basic Qualifications:
Ten (10) years’ experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexityBachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.Proficient in Linux and Ansible Experience with switch configuration skills and experience applying STE/STN compliance requirements to servers Clearance Required: Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.At Leidos, the opportunities are boundless. Pay Range:Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
