Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

The LINUX Integration organization within Qualcomm's China IOE division is looking for a candidate to help develop processes, tools, and working with our global teams to ensure that we deliver the best SW products to our customer, contribute to the following projects: streamline the software development process through supporting tool or script development, process analysis, and documentation, its penetration In Robotics, Wearable and Camera devices.

Candidate is requested to be an expert in Qualcomm Location solution/software and release the best quality SW within the project schedule. Maintain gerrits / CRs for Location software on embedded platform for each release. Candidate would be the go to person in trouble shooting, identifying problem reported by Test team, analyzing and reporting them to development team, help them to narrow down the root cause and fix problems Assist with management of source code and build automation is an important part of this job. Create and maintain a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating working practices, having code reviews and improving products. Publishing the status and release notes at various stages of the product.

Candidate should be keenly interested in the development process itself, in identifying and fixing inefficiencies, and in supporting tool or script development. Candidate should have excellent organizational skill. Candidate must have excellent technical writing and good technical diagramming skills. Apart from good embedded C language skills for triage of on-device development, candidate should have some experience or knowledge in embedded engineering, Continuous Integration methods, Static Analysis tools, Source Code Management (Perforce, GIT), as well as scripting skills (Shell, Perl, or Python).

Responsibilities:
 

·  A successful candidate will be responsible for working within the Develop team and Test team to triage and identify re-occurring issues.

·  Work closely in many different toolsets to simplify and stream workflows.

·  Work with Qualcomm's latest chipset offerings and tech teams to unblock and streamline product launches and meet critical milestones.

Minimum Qualifications

1-3 years of SW development work in C or Assembly on an embedded platform for any portable device with a record of strong individual technical achievement. Experience with compilers/linkers/make files.Experience on Qualcomm platforms for integrations.Familiar with at least one source control tool (GIT, SVN, etc).Scripting skills (Shell or Python)
Preferred QualificationsExperience with Android platform driver coding.Experience with Software Configuration and familiar with   Continuous Integration methods.Exposure to build automation & continuous integration.Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills are needed.A go-getter and should be able to work in an aggressive, high pressure environment
 

Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
