Linux Administrator
Position Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Linux Administrator with DevOps mindset to join our team. The Linux Administrator will be responsible for managing L2 operations of Linux servers, ensuring their stability, performance, and security. This role includes remote support for clients and occasional onsite presence. Oncall duties are also part of the job. Candidates will also have the opportunity to explore cloud technologies and be part of the team setting up cloud solutions for the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in system administration and a strong focus on customer-centric support. Familiarity with automation, containerization technologies, or database management is a plus but not mandatory.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Perform L2 support for server operations, including incident resolution and request management.
• Responsible for Linux systems patching and ensuring they are kept up-to-date with security and compliance standards.
• Ensure system stability, security, and performance.
• Implement and maintain system monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MS SQL for basic administration tasks.
• Provide support for containerization platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and assist in the transition to cloud infrastructure (AWS planned for the future).
• Create and maintain scripts for automation and process optimization using Bash and Python.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with IT best practices, security policies, and industry standards.
• Document processes, configurations, and incident resolutions.
• Participate in an Agile working environment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator in a production environment.
• Proficiency in Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (B2 or higher).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and Oracle database management.
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and certifications.
• Knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, or other automation tools.
• Experience with web services such as Tomcat, Nginx, or JBoss.
• Basic understanding of NoSQL databases and message queues.
• Basic VMware knowledge, with a focus on virtual machine management.
