**This position will be open to internal and external applicants and will close on Sunday, February 16, 2025.** Pay for the Linespotter position in in the range of $48,760 to $60,950 and pay for the Sr. Linespotter position is in the range of $55,200 to $69,000 and is dependent upon skills, experience and education of the successful candidate. This pay range is composed of a current base pay range of $42,400 to $53,000 for the Linespotter position, and a current base pay range of $48,000 to $60,000 for the Sr. Linespotter, with 15% supplemental pay, which is administered in accordance with NMGC’s Supplemental Pay Policy. **The successful candidate must live within 30 minutes of the Albuquerque Gas Service Center.** **About This Opportunity** Join our team as a Linespotter and be at the forefront of safeguarding vital infrastructure! With opportunities for growth, teamwork, and making a real difference, this position promises an exciting journey ahead! **Primary Duties and Responsibilities** _This list does not reflect the job duties in their entirety._ + Locates and marks underground facilities as requested to prevent damage by other excavating contractors and individuals. + Maintains accurate records of work performed. + Develops knowledge of other utility underground and field construction practices. + Checks and repairs damaged coating on lines (as needed by location). + Maintains locating equipment to ensure accurate operating condition. *Senior Level: Entry Level Duties Plus Additional Responsibilities **Successful Candidate Must Have:** + A high school diploma or GED + A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record + Linespotter: 0-3 years of experience + Sr. Linespotter: 4 years of experience + Preferences: Previous linespotting experience **Working Conditions** Field environment. May be required to work overtime and/or on call and handle emergency response as needed. May be required to work at various job sites, out of town, and/or remote locations for extended periods. Regularly required to walk, sit, and stand up to 2/3 of the time. Manual dexterity required and the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, talk, and listen. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
