Reports to: Sous Chef Supervises: No supervisor duties are required in this position Summary Line Cook will be working River Course, Kiawah Island Club location. The Kiawah Island Club is one of the premier private Clubs in the world. This position would include working a rotating schedule with the rest of the staff through the grill, saute, hot apps, raw bar, and garde manger stations. The kitchen is very busy at all times so cleanliness, punctuality, and a hard work ethic are a must. There is plenty of opportunity for moving around, learning as much as possible, being involved in daily specials, menu adjustments, and overall kitchen operations. Job Tasks/Duties   Responsible for producing and providing premier food items while providing quality service to our members and guests Prepares, cooks and portions meals while ensuring proper presentation of the plating of each menu item to be served Sets up service units with needed items Ensures that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary Assists the Sous Chef in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen Maintains a neat and professional appearance Sets up, maintains and breaks down prep cook station.
