Job Description Summary:
This position works independently under the supervision of assigned leadership and a staff Radiologist. Performs a variety of procedures utilizing various radiographic equipment.Qualifications:
Minimum of twelve (12) months clinical experience obtained through an accredited school of Radiological Technology required.Montana Limited Permit Holder License required.Current RQI Responder CPR or must be successfully obtained at time of hire.Previous experience performing a variety of Radiology procedures required. Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy preferred. Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.Job Specific Duties:
Performs and documents assessment of the patient utilizing available information and incorporating the patient’s perception of illness/condition.Assists provider with examinations and procedures as directed and in accordance with established scope of practice as applicable to assigned area(s).Maintains an understanding of current exam protocols as applicable to assigned area(s). Works in collaboration with the radiology department to ensure the most up to date protocols are followed.Accurately and efficiently transcribes and implements provider orders and treatments. Consistently problem solves issues affecting patient care.Follows current exam protocols to perform diagnostic imaging procedures as applicable to assigned area(s).Maintains accountability to technologist competency/quality control standards. Reviews QA report and takes appropriate action as indicated. Assists with maintaining and coordinating repairs and services as needed. Monitors equipment for malfunction and alerts leadership per department procedures and protocol and as applicable to assigned area(s).The above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification.
