This Life Sciences Audit Senior Associate role will be based out of our East Brunswick, Red Bank or Princeton, NJ offices. You'll work alongside an integrated team of seasoned, well-known CPAs and industry leaders. In this position, you will take a lead role on all aspects of audit engagements, from planning to completion, to include supervision/mentoring of staff and building/maintaining relationships with clients.

How You'll Spend Your Time:  

Leading the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of an audit engagement to effectively and efficiently provide world-class client service  Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the audit engagement from staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting and the conclusion  Providing supervision, training and support to the engagement staff and promote open communication to the engagement manager and partner  Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines  Creating and tracking engagement budgets to review for inefficiencies that may arise during the audit and maintain profitable realization rates  Reviewing and evaluating work papers, and determine compliance with professional standards and firm policy  Reviewing reports and financial statements  Reviewing with the engagement partner significant findings that raise questions involving auditing standards and firm policy  Managing risk and ensure quality control procedures are being executed  Effectively managing employee and client expectations  Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with client management   Providing on-the-job training to team members   Developing staff by taking an active role in the Firm’s learning and development activities  Completing performance evaluations constructively and timely, and also provide ongoing performance feedback to employees  

The Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following:  

Bachelor’s degree in accounting Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)    2+ years of relevant experience  Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including, specifically within the Life Science niche  Ability to articulately communicate professional/technical knowledge  Effective business advisory skills  Decisively identify and execute solutions to problems  Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy  Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to engagement partners or client's management  Excellent organizational and project management skills and strong attention to detail
