Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.

Demonstrates competence in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and hiring to meet the needs of the Organization. Responsible for the overall supervision and other administrative functions in the Security Department. Assist with the Emergency Management Program to include, Training, Drills, and Preparedness. Monitor, Investigate, Review, and Compile data from complaints, incident reports, and other sources for trends and improvement opportunities. Develops and updates Security policies, procedures, and post orders based on current training principles, state and federal regulations, and judicial precedence. Perform other duties as assigned.Work Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly
Qualifications/Training:
Ability to supervise the Security Department Proficient in the use of firearms and all other security equipment 5 years in Hospital Security with two years in relevant Management or the equivalent in education, training and experience Must be able to read and write English proficiently to safely and effectively perform the key essential functions of the position.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school SC Concealed Armed Security Officer certification/registration (SLED) SLED Classroom and Firearms Instruction Certification within 1 year of hire date. Must possess a valid SC Driver’s License Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification within 90 days of hire Heartsaver certification within 90 days of hire Monadnock Baton certification within 90 days of hire
