About the Role & Team

Plan and implement long term and fiscal year strategies. Be responsible for the commercial management of a series of existing accounts & categories. Provide effective and focused business management and strategic planning to support growth of the category. Where relevant, identify, pitch and secure new licensees that improve the category growth in a meaningful manner.

Relationships are key to the success of this role, both internally and externally. The candidate will be responsible for actively leading on engagement, partnership and joint business planning. They will also be required to negotiate regional contracts & support global negotiations to deliver strategic growth in licensing sales for the EMEA business.

This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week in our London office in Hammersmith.

What You Will Do

In conjunction with Senior Licensing Sales Manager, implement the long-term strategy for specific department in collaboration with relevant partners utilising key trends, commercial and consumer insight, develop and drive succinct strategiesHandle the annual operating plan and quarterly forecasting process, developing supplier (licensee) objectives and strategies, working with markets, consumer demo groups, category teams, brand commercialisation, product development, marketing, and finance to drive growthActively lead and cultivate the relationship engagement, partnership and joint business planning with each EMEA accountComplete contract negotiations for certain accounts and appropriately advise all key partners (global, EMEA and local)Work closely with the creative teams on product development and the marketing teams to support licensee marketing & support Disney marketing campaignsCollaborate and develop positive relationships with Disney market teams, both category and retail providing key licensee & product information and regular strategy and franchise updates. Understand and satisfy local market needs and differences. Utilise these relationships to share best practiseBuild relationships with the international DCP teams in, to share knowledge and standard processesCommunicate requirements for key compliance terms within license agreement, including but not limited to ILS and Sustainability

Required Qualifications & Skills

Manager level experience in a commercial functionDegree level education in a related field or equivalent work experienceExperience within consumer products businessProven experience of building effective relationships, leading and managing change and collaboration across departments to achieve financial targets and joint goalsStrong background of developing the performance of a teamFinancial acumen – to translate numbers into a working planAbility to analyse data, construct practical conclusions and implement recommendations to achieve business targetsAn ability to be agile in order to capitalise on the moment and identify new opportunities and target partnersResilient and flexible in a constantly evolving landscapeComputer literate including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and KeynoteProficient English, crucial; other European languages, beneficialBring creative, product & commercial expertise to support the delivery of ranges relevant to the region & leverage digital, social and bricks and mortar marketing taking into consideration key trends and consumer insight to drive sales conversion.Excellent commercial and strategic approaches to problem solving and innovationOutstanding planning and organisation skillsStrong influencing skills to achieve consensus at all levelsForward thinking with the ability to take industry trends and translate them into something that drives growth for The Walt Disney CompanyCultural sensitivity and an understanding of local markets across EMEA
