The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) is seeking a Licensing Analyst to work within the Employee Permitting Unit in the Bureau of Licensing. This position ensures the appropriate licensure, permitting, registration, or certification of business entities and individuals as required under the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act and related regulations. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Licensing Analyst, you will be providing recommendations in connection with the development and improvement of new and existing data processing systems to enhance the integrity of the licensing process or to improve the efficiency of related activities. Work includes processing applications, preparing correspondence, reports, charts, and other documents, and updating databases to ensure accurate information is being tracked regarding the applicant, licensee, and affiliates. Effective communication is a key aspect of this position as you will be communicating with applicants to ensure timely receipt of required information. Upon receipt of Board authorization, you will be responsible for preparing, issuing, and renewing licenses, permits, registrations, and certifications. Constant communication with Bureau managers is required so they stay up to date on the status of applications, licenses, and any other outstanding issues requiring supervisory action. Work Schedule and Additional Information: + Full-time employment. + Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. + Telework: Telework options may be available for this position. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and be located within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. + Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. + You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: + A bachelor’s degree in a discipline appropriate to the position from an accredited college or university;or + An associate’s degree in a closely related field from an accredited college and two years of additional experience from a government agency or a large business;or + An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: + You must have experience processing or curing applications for employment in a regulatory environment. + You must have experience communicating with the general public, in order to ensure timely receipt of required information. + You must have the ability to update databases to ensure accurate information is being tracked regarding business information. + You must have experience using the Microsoft packages of Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. + You must be able to perform essential job functions.
