Electrician, Plant Operations (FT) 

Under the supervision of the Plant Operations Director, the Electrician is responsible for the installation, inspection and maintenance of all electrical distribution equipment and machinery. This person will also be required to trouble-shoot and service non-patient, non-electrical apparatus such as: motors, light fixtures, electrical outlets, wiring and breakers. Also responsible for continued improving operations of the electrical systems in and around the Medical Center.

State of Iowa Electrician’s LicenseFive years electrical installation and project experienceAbility to understand Mechanical and Electrical SystemsAbility to read and understand basic blueprintsAbility to communicate in a pleasant, positive and effective manner with staff, customers, visitors and all levels of Hospital managementGood knowledge of the NECIs able to physically complete all of the tasks assigned to the position on a regular basis, including but not limited to excessive lifting, working in extreme cold or extreme hot weather, and being able to complete outside winter work, including snow shoveling for extensive periods of time
