This role combines traditional library services with modern technology to enhance research and learning experiences.Key Responsibilities:Library Management & Collection Development + Select, acquire, catalog, and maintain a diverse collection of books, digital resources, and other media. + Organize and update library materials to ensure accessibility. + Promote reading programs, literacy initiatives, and educational resources to students and staff. Instruction & Technology Integration + Teach information literacy, research skills, and responsible digital citizenship. + Assist students and staff in using library resources, databases, and technology effectively. + Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum. Student & Staff Support + Guide students in selecting appropriate reading and research materials. + Provide professional development and training to staff on library resources and technology tools. + Support differentiated learning by offering resources for all learning styles and abilities. Library Programs & Community Engagement + Plan and execute literacy events, book fairs, author visits, and reading challenges. + Foster partnerships with parents, educators, and community organizations to support library initiatives. + Maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages lifelong learning. Professional Development: + Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends, teaching methodologies, and curriculum advancements. This includes attending workshops, seminars and professional meetings such as faculty and department/grade level meetings. + Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to share best practices and enhance the overall learning experience for students.
