The main Key Performance Areas (KPA):

Develop, manage, and maintain relevant library collections relevant to the Faculty of Education in support of the learning and research focus areas. Deliver information literacy (Infolit) training to students and support future development in this Infolit offering at the university library. Deliver training programmes to post graduate students and staff in support of research activities in the Faculty of Education that includes niche areas. Providing research support which include scholarly communication, digital scholarship service and research data management and metrics support activities. Assist researchers with literature searches and systematic reviews. Provide reference services for faculty information needs as required. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with lecturers and students. Support relevant projects at CPUT Libraries Create, update, and manage LibGuides related to the Faculty of Education Support the online client service initiatives. Be involved in advocacy activists in the promotion of the library services at the Mowbray campus Library. Co-ordinate all staffing at the Mowbray branch that include after-hours service and client support. All tasks in any aspect of managing and supervising branch operations and facility management, service support and support administration at the Librarian level, and as may be required from time to time in the work locations that require it.
