Legal Operations Analyst

All members of AARP’s OGC advise business units and affiliated entities to serve the goals and mission of the organization in a manner that is compliant, ethical, solution-oriented and timely; consult and collaborate with management to develop strategic plans and ensure organizational activities meet legal and regulatory compliance; and work collaboratively to accomplish organization goals and execute on organization mission. The Legal Operations Analyst supports the development of long-term goals and strategic plans to ensure continued successful operations of the business unit’s legal department by providing programmatic and operational support to all functional areas of the legal team. Responsibilities Plans, organizes, and implements assigned projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Supports business unit legal operations to include ongoing projects to enhance team’s efficiency. Directs operation of case management system managing enterprise-wide client requests for a variety of legal services including contract review, content review, litigation support, advocacy support, general legal advice and other issues. Supports implementation of key aspects of the legal team including training and communications, data reporting, Board reporting and/or investigations support. Completes internal operations projects through strategic problem solving, data gathering, root cause analysis, recommendations, and implementation considerations. Collaborates with diverse teams within the Business Unit’s Legal Department to document and create process flowcharts, standard operating procedures and best practices while supporting the identification of inefficiencies and opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk and optimize resource allocation. Collaborate with legal colleagues to ensure smooth deployment, integration, and user adoption of technology solutions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a legal operations environment. Proven ability to efficiently work with multiple legal technical software and platforms. Experience overseeing projects that vary across multiple teams. High sense of ethics and confidentiality.
