The successful candidate will work closely with the team’s senior lawyers to provide legal advice and support to the business across a broad range of commercial, governance and investment related activities. Core Responsibilities + Advises on a broad range of commercial, governance and investment activities.  + Reviews and prepares legal documents and correspondence. Meets with the business to provide advice on regulatory developments and legal activities.  + Supports the Company Secretary in relation to governance matters, including reviewing Board and Committee papers, attending meetings, and liaising with senior stakeholders on governance related matters.  + Assists with the review and resolution of day-to-day operational, risk and legal issues arising in the business, including interpretation of legal documentation, policy and procedure issues, and contractual disputes.  + Conducts independent research, investigation and analysis to support legal activities and contribute to the resolution of legal matters.  + Develops expertise in applicable areas of the law, Vanguard's business and products, and the investment industry. Stays abreast of industry and regulatory developments affecting Vanguard.  + Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
