Hourly base pay rate is $21.06 - $31.63/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

Cox Enterprises is currently looking for a Legal Assistance Coordinator to join our team in Carmel, Indiana.

The Role:

The Legal Assistance Coordinator I is an administrative position based out of the NextGear Capital corporate office.  The Coordinator provides support to NextGear Capital’s AVP of Legal, Senior Corporate Counsel and Corporate Counsel.

Responsibilities:

Administrative support and organization of legal department billing matters, other legal department matters (litigation, contracts, compliance, etc.), and contract organization and retention through Serengeti.

Assists in the collection of documents and other information relating to any of the above.

Accurate data entry of information related to invoices, billing, legal department matters and agreements.

Run and pull reports, as needed.

Filing, retrieving, copying and organizing pleadings, motions, responses to discovery and other documents as needed.

Organization and management of electronic document storage related to ongoing lawsuits, contracts and other agreements.

Sorting, copying, mailing, scanning, scheduling, recovering and pulling reports or other responsive documents and other general administrative duties relating to any of the above.

Other duties as may be assigned by members of the legal department.

Qualifications:

High School diploma/GED.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Demonstrated reputation for accuracy and attention to detail. 

Active listening and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to stand and sit for periods of time.

Ability to operate office equipment, computers, fax machines, copiers, and phones.

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in a professional work environment.

Prior experience with Discover and States databases.
