Job Description

To provide legal solutions to legal and business challenges within a business area, to mitigate legal risks and partner with the business on the implementation of policies to comply with legal and regulatory requirements in relation to business processes.

To consult with internal clients to understand business requirements and provide sound legal advice pertaining to the drafting, vetting, review, dissemination and/or negotiation of legal documentation and processes, providing clear legal direction based on sound judgment.

Are you someone who can:

Attend to litigation processes.Provide sound legal advice to the business on all complex legal matters.Work closely with third party lawyers who represent the group and clients in courts, providing support, setting strategy, agreeing arguments, and drafting submissions so as to ensure strategic impact, identifying and capitalising on opportunities to compel implementation of judgments at national, regional and international level.Expertly draft legal documentation, pleadings and correspondences and manage disputes.Has attention to detail in all matters.Keep the Legal Head Litigation business area, Legal Heads and Advisors abreast of developments in a timely fashion, raising opportunities and risks as they occur.Identify and mitigate emerging legal risks and ensure training on legal risk management takes place.Stay up to date with all developments in the law in relation to areas of legal practice.Build sound relationships based on trust and openness.Engineer and leverage processes and technologies to meet business needs.Produce consistently high-quality outputs within agreed deadlines.

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

Minimum requirement: Have an LLB degree and are admitted attorney/legal practitioner in country of employment with at least 3 - 5 years post article experience in a litigation and risk mitigation environment
