What You’ll do


As a Legal Administrative Assistant, you will be working directly with Rural King’s corporate attorneys to oversee and assist with legal, compliance, risk and safety issues, including performance research, investigating facts, preparing documents, managing legal dockets and calendars, and filing responses to legal matters.

 

Prepare, edit, proofread and review various legal and compliance documents.Organize and maintain files and legal records, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible.Schedule appointments and meetings for the legal department.Managing deadlines for legal and regulatory filings and court dates.Perform legal research projects in multiple jurisdictions and make determinations based on independent judgement.Keep abreast of developments and the status of assigned matters with working knowledge and analysis of facts and issuesResponsible for specialized assignments requiring a high level of independence.Work with state and local agencies on legal and regulatory matters.Perform general office duties such as filing, mailing and copying legal and compliance documents. Track and record legal fees and expenses.Gather factual information and perform legal research that is not available through routine sources and requires deviation from established procedures.Communicate with external parties regarding legal and regulatory matters, including answering phone calls, emails and other inquiries.Stay up to date on legal and regulatory matters that may affect the department’s operations.Maintain corporate and LLC organizational documents, actions, resolutions, and approvals.Serve as an initial point of contact for internal clients on legal and regulatory questions and matters, and complete and file necessary paperwork to resolve regulatory or legal issues.Provide administrative support for risk, claims, and regulatory and compliance matters.Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.Demonstrate behaviors that exemplify Rural King’s Values: People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement.Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Qualities for SuccessAt least 2 years of administrative experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Experience in presenting information to individuals or groups in a clear, engaging, and persuasive manner. Proven track record of consistently producing error-free work and meeting quality standards.Proficiency in time management, including the ability to effectively plan, schedule, and allocate resources to meet objectives.Strong resilience and adaptability to maintain a positive attitude in the face of adversity and setbacks.Ability to remain composed and focused during high-pressure situations, ensuring quality and timely outcomes.Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities. Physical Requirements  Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.Ability to navigate and access all facilities.Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.Close vision for computer-related activities. Supervisory Responsibilities
