Lecturer: Broadcast Journalism

Lecture subjects in the Journalism curriculum, in particular all components of Broadcast and Online Journalism in the undergraduate and postgraduate levels of study Teach and assess Media Leadership, Media Innovation Management, Managing Communication Strategy, Positioning Organisational Relationships, Communication and Media Practice and/or Research Methodology Participate in curriculum development Design, initiate and manage projects across the programme and department Perform appropriate academic and administrative duties (including the effective Management of Marks Administration) Participate in the Quality Assurance activities of the Department Participate in research in any areas of the Media but in particular Broadcast and Online Journalism Contribute to community initiatives by integrating community interventions into curriculum. Develop and maintain linkages with industry and professional bodies on co-operative education, new techniques/technologies, and research projects Take the lead in managing marketing and recruitment activities Develop partnerships with other institution in higher education and industry for the purposes of knowledge interchange and collaboration on project-based learning and research Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department
