Summary/Objective: The Leave of Absence Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and administering Team Member leave of absence requests, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies. This role requires effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with Team Members and managers at all levels. Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Administer and manage all types of leave of absence requests including, but not limited to, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Lippert Company Leaves, and Military Leave. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to leaves of absence. Coordinate and communicate with team members, managers, and human resource partners to ensure a smooth leave process. Review and process leave of absence requests, verifying eligibility and required documentation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leave cases in the HCM and timekeeping systems. Collaborate with other HR team members to ensure a seamless employee experience during the leave process. Assist in the development of communication materials related to leave of absence policies and procedures. Working Conditions: Primarily working indoors, office environment. May sit for several hours at a time. Prolonged exposure to computer screens. Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of experience in customer service or human resources Bilingual Essential Functions: Consistently and effectively communicate with team members, managers, and human resource partners throughout the leave process, providing updates and guidance as needed. Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all leave cases, including approvals, denials, extensions, and return-to-work plans, in the HR information system. Monitor and track employee leave durations, proactively identifying potential issues and working with team members and managers to address concerns and facilitate a successful return to work. Provide support and guidance to employees during the return-to-work process, including reasonable accommodation and any necessary follow-up. Competencies: Strong ability to communicate effectively and professionally with team members, managers, and HR partners, both verbally and in writing. Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping. Proficient in managing multiple tasks and priorities and maintaining an organized workflow. Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive team member information with the utmost discretion and professionalism. Dedication to providing exceptional service and support to team members and managers throughout the leave process, addressing concerns and inquiries promptly and effectively. Ability to work effectively with other HR team members and cross-functional partners to ensure seamless leave administration and a positive team member experience. Supervisory Responsibility: This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time hourly position. Travel: Travel will be minimal and would be primarily local during the business day.
