About the Role & Program: Disney Enterprise Financial Services is an expanding team of process experts and accounting professionals who provide accounting services to The Walt Disney Company. Our team supports our Corporate Real Estate partners to ensure proper accounting of lease holdings across all business segments.This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from January 2025-June 2025.What You Will Do...As a Lease Accounting Graduate Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work on:Journal EntriesBalance Sheet Account ReconciliationsAccounting Research and AnalysisAccrualsClose Related TasksLease Accounting Straight Line SchedulesSOX ComplianceProcessing InvoicesVarious other project workRequired Qualifications & Skills … Strong quantitative and analytical skillsIntermediate to advanced MS Excel skills (v and x- lookups, pivot tables)The ability to build strong relationships in a highly professional “client service orientation” environmentSolid interpersonal and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal, communication, partnering and customer service skillsStrong project management and multi-tasking abilitiesSelf-driven, independent thinker who is able to be flexibleSelf-starter with a drive for process improvements and the ability to problem-solvePreferred Qualifications …Experience/exposure working with Power Apps (within Microsoft Suite)Previous accounting internship and/or work experienceWorking towards a CPAEducation:Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional InternshipCurrently pursuing and/or have graduated in the last 6 months with a master’s degree or PhD in Accounting and/or MBAEligibility Requirements & Program Information:Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:Be at least 18 years of agePossess unrestricted work authorization Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program Additional Information:The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025-June 2025.This internship is located in the Orlando, FL area.Candidate must be fully available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.This internship is a primarily on-site position which will require a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace for the days you may work from home.Able to provide your own housing and reliable transportation for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, FL areaWe provide limited housing opportunities for Florida Based Professional Interns through American Campus Communities, for more information click hereStrong candidates may be invited to complete a phone interview.
