Job Overview
Working with System Director of Talent Management and Chief Talent Officer to own the day-to-day administrative duties of our Learning Management System (Workday Learning) and lead development of overall Learning Management System strategy, governance, and operations.
This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Tufts Medicine Learning Management platform, including setting up user accounts, managing course content, monitoring learner progress, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the system aligns with the company's training needs by customizing settings and features to optimize the learning experience for all users. Key responsibilities for this role include system set up and configuration, content management, user support, reporting and analytics, and system maintenance and updates.
Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.
2. Five (5) years of experience in learning technology design and development using an LMS, including three (3) years of experience in instructor-led training or education.
3. Experience with Workday Learning administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.
2. Eight (8) years of experience in LMS administration and management in healthcare environment.
3. Experience leading highly matrixed projects.
4. Experience leading annual training and learning activities within a healthcare setting.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
1. Serves as lead for Workday Learning implementation project to design, configure, and deploy governance and administration of the Workday Learning platform, including the migration of trainings and learning modules from existing Learning Management System(s) into Workday Learning.
2. Stabilizes Workday Learning deployment and support planning for future learning activities and initiatives to support compliance training, annual education, skills training, and other related activities.
3. Develops roadmap of necessary resources to build & sustain the administration of the system and the various learning initiatives.
4. Serves as a resource to leaders and staff assigned administrative roles in the system to allow them to be self-sufficient in those roles, including training.
5. Completes system set up and configuration including: installing and configuring the LMS platform; creating user accounts and managing user permissions; designing course structures and learning paths; and customizing system settings to match organizational requirements.
6. Oversees content management including: uploading and managing course materials (videos, documents, assessments); developing and editing course content within the LMS; and ensuring content accessibility and quality standards are met.
7. Provides user support including: technical assistance to learners and instructors regarding navigation and functionality; responding to user queries and troubleshooting issues; and conducting training sessions on LMS features and usage.
8. Develops reporting and analytics including: generating reports on learner progress, course completion rates, and engagement metrics; analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement; and presenting insights to stakeholders on learning effectiveness.
9. Completes system maintenance and updates including: performing regular system backups and updates; monitoring system performance and addressing technical issues; and staying current with LMS updates and new features.
10. Provides support to end-users to facilitate their completion of assigned learning activities.
11. Receives course materials from and collaborate with subject matter experts to build courses in course authoring tools, including assigning the courses to the appropriate audience.
12. Collaborates with different areas of the enterprise (IT, HR, Compliance, etc.) on developing curricula for staff to have a better understanding of their rights and responsibilities so they and the organization can meet its compliance obligations.
13. Fulfills other learning management system requests as appropriate (develop or provide completion reporting, assigning courses, removing assignments, marking completions, troubleshooting, etc.)
14. Provides new hire support to complete any day one compliance course assignments in Workday Learning.
Physical Requirements:
1. Work environment is a professional office environment with typical office requirements such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
2. This is largely a sedentary role, which involves sitting most of the time, but may involve movements such as walking, standing, reaching, ascending / descending stairs and operate office equipment.
3. Frequently required to speak, hear, communicate and exchange information.
4. Able to see and read computers displays, read fine print, and/or normal type size print and distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
