Learning Management System Administrator/Instructional Designer

You may just be the right candidate for this role, or another role and make your mark at Mill Creek._** The Learning Management System Administrator/Instructional Designer is responsible for the administrative and end-user support of Mill Creek Residential’s cloud-based learning management system (LMS) and for developing eLearning courseware to be consumed by company associates via the LMS. This role provides ongoing systems support, systems strategy support, and content development to help ensure optimal LMS performance and appropriate content in service of the company’s learning and business operations goals. Administrative and end-user support duties will be executed in coordination with the Human Resources Director (system superuser) and the Senior Vice President, National Training. Instructional Designer duties will be executed in coordination with the Senior Vice President, National Training. **Essential Functions/Responsibilities- LMS Administrator** + Provide LMS functional and technical support, including system administration and troubleshooting. + Develop, test, and implement new LMS custom reports for end users. Periodically audit existing reports and manage the inventory of reports. + Develop custom distribution reports within the platform to ensure training is assigned to the appropriate associates. + Review periodic major product releases and other service updates for items related to LMS. Work with the HR superuser and the SVP to determine deployment, conduct user acceptance testing, and create appropriate documentation. + Develop and maintain user guides and job aids for end users, system administrators, and instructors. + Ensure online courses are correctly set up within the system. Support other LMS administrators and Instructional Designers with testing content. + Coordinate with Learning Instructors to schedule monthly webinar offerings and manage post-session attendance as needed. + Resolve help desk user questions and issues through an online ticketing system. + Stay abreast of LMS user-generated solutions and proposed enhancements by monitoring and participating in online community support forums. + Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President, National Training. **Essential Functions/Responsibilities- Instructional Designer** + Assist or coordinate needs assessments by interfacing with internal teams and Subject Matter Experts to identify training needs. + Design and develop engaging, activity-based, and results-oriented learning courses and training materials. + Develop recommendations for instructional and/or performance strategies. + Develop course outlines for various delivery methods. + Work with Subject Matter Experts to ensure the accuracy of the material. + Manage and coordinate projects and training activities to completion. + Assist in assessing the quality and adoption of training material. + Design appropriate interactivity for the courseware and delivery method. + Review and revise training materials created by others. + Research developments in the training industry, including presentation aids, equipment, presentation techniques, adult learning methodology, and related topics. **Edu** **ca** **tion** **an** **d/or E** **x** **p** **e** **ri** **e** **n** **c** **e** + Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Strong written and verbal skills. + Strong time-management skills. + Strong interpersonal skills. **Skills/Specialized Kn** **o** **w** **ledg** **e** + Experience working with cloud-based Learning Management Systems + Knowledge and experience with online training tools such as Captivate + Knowledge of learning management trends and methodologies + Highly numerate and analytical with the ability to develop meaningful reporting + Expert-level skills in Excel or other spreadsheet tools, experience with advanced formulas and functions + Strength in communicating technical information in non-technical terms + Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to others + Professional verbal and written communication skills + Maintain flexibility and creativity in a variety of situations + Strong organizational and time management skills, consistently sets goals and meets deadlines **About the Benefits of joining the Mill Creek Team** + Competitive compensation + Comprehensive medical, dental and vision + Employer sponsored short and long term disability, Life and ADD insurance + 401k with employer matching + Paid time off benefits: Vacation, Sick, Holidays _Mill Creek is an Equal Opportunity Employer_ **Are you ready to contribute to the success of Mill Creek Residential?
