Learning Experience Manager, APAC

Learning Experience Managers, a part of the Global Learning Experience Team, are highly skilled and experienced learning professionals 
who deliver inclusive skill and knowledge-based learning experiences to Team Members at Owned, Managed, Franchised, and 
Corporate locations across their assigned regions.

 What will I be doing? 

\n

LXMs utilize the principles of adult learning to deliver Hilton’s signature Commercial and Brand learning programs through in-person facilitation, virtual facilitation, and technical production. In addition, select opportunities may arise to support the full 
learning cycle by assisting the Project Management Office and program owners in learning program design and analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The LXM’s role may include the following functional categories, not limited to: Facilitation, Program Production, Project Design & 
Development, and Administration
1. Facilitation (Up to 50% of time)
• Facilitate and deliver virtual and classroom learning events, utilizing a variety of skills and abilities, including 
demonstration, knowledge sharing, motivation, consultation, coaching, and support.
• Create an environment to enhance Team Member knowledge and allow for application of learning.
• Make applicable adjustments to learning delivery to accommodate and respect local customs or business practices.
• Invest dedicated time for preparation, self-development, and remaining current with industry standards for learning
experience facilitation.
• Partner with leaders, internal and external subject matter experts to understand performance expectations to achieve 
intended learning objectives.
• Conduct peer observations and share results as required to enhance overall team performance.
• Share program results and key observations with the Senior Manager of Learning Experience and other stakeholders.
• Conduct Virtual Led learning programs for new hotel openings to support the expansion of hotels across the APAC region
and on occasion in person if approved.
• Become certified to deliver all learning programs supported by the Learning Experience team.

 2. Program Production (Up to 20% of time)
• Working proficiency with the following virtual learning platforms: WebEx Meeting, and Microsoft Teams.
• Enhance the learner experience and support the facilitator by managing the technical requirements during virtual 
sessions.
• Demonstrate proficiency with platform features (feedback, chat, whiteboard, screen share, breakouts, etc.) and learn 
new features and benefits as they become available.
• Coordinate and conduct WebEx rehearsals with program facilitator and other presenters as needed.
• Prepare the virtual room in advance - ensure all layouts, materials, breakouts, and activity plans are pre-loaded and 
ready.
• Engage and help focus the participants by annotating and highlighting key points on whiteboards/slides or in chat.
• Implement appropriate solutions and workarounds when technical challenges occur.
• Coordinates debriefing with the facilitator.
• Support with post-class administration where required.
• Demonstrate patience and empathy with participants and speakers.
3. Project Design & Development (Up to 10% of time)
• Manage and/or participate in learning project management, development and/or shared projects as available 
or requested. The type of projects and time required for each will vary. 
• Collaborate with project teams as per business needs to review content and trainer upskilling programs.
• Liaise with the instructional design team to design programs and provide feedback.
• Work with teams to review the designed curriculum.
• Improve existing or future curricula by aligning and collaborating with stakeholders to determine training 
requirements and timelines.
• Provide timely feedback for edits and be the voice of the participants to program owners.
4. Administration (Up to 20% of time)
• Create, schedule, and document as required in the learning management system, to ensure proper participant 
registration, preparation, and attendance in learning sessions. 
• Manage learner communications, providing direction and support as needed.
• Manage schedule and expenses and other projects as assigned.
• Attend meetings as required.
• Prepare other communications and reports as required.

Required
• Previous experience facilitating instructor-led learning with proven experience in virtual facilitation/production.
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple stakeholders and projects.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally per business needs.
• Strong communication skills - written and verbal.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
Preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Prior work experience in the hospitality industry.
• Regional or global work experience.
• Experience working with diverse cultural groups.
• Experience in delivering knowledge and skills-based (Brand, Sales, and Leadership) programs.
• Instructional design experience
