Learning & Development Specialist - Primoris Energy Services

The Business Segment Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist will lead Business Segment (Operational) Learning and Development across one or more Business Segments as appointed. This L&D Specialist will work with L&D Professionals and Subject Matter Experts to implement and refine Primoris L&D processes and standards and to build L&D and business-critical competencies across the organization. The Business Segment L&D Specialist will be committed to excellence and able to use knowledge, expertise and influence to support Business Segments in the development of a competitive and internally motivated workforce. This position will report into the Primoris Operations/Business Segments. 

Key Responsibilities Create and execute a Business Segment learning and training vision, strategies and programs. Work with L&D/Training professionals and stakeholders to develop and continuously improve the Business Segment L&D/Training program. Align the company services with client needs through an understanding of business plans and small- to medium-sized business operations. Oversee the identification, purchase, development, and continuous improvement of Business Segment competency and curriculum maps. Work cross-functionally with subject matter experts to define key content areas and capture and transfer business-critical knowledge and skills to build a strong and competitive workforce. Design and deliver e-learning courses, interactive learning events, hands-on workshops, and on-the-job training sessions that are tailored to the specific needs of the segment. Manage Business Segment content in our Learning Management System (LMS) to reflect our most current product/service offerings. Partner with Learning Management System (LMS) Administrators to assign role-specific learning and training opportunities to Business Segment Employees and to determine paths for learning and training opportunities for a dispersed hourly workforce that includes self-driven e-learning on mobile devices or laptops/kiosks, facilitated learning (virtual and/or in-person, etc.), and workforce skills development, evaluation, qualification, and coaching. Work with other Business Segment Subject Matter Experts and L&D/Training teams to manage L&D Stakeholder communications and report on progress made on L&D/Training goals for the Business Segment(s). Work with Primoris Talent Management, L&D/Training professionals, and Subject Matter Experts to customize Business Segment Learning and Career Development Paths for Business Segment Employees and to help managers develop their team members through career pathing. Work with L&D Professionals and Subject Matter Experts to implement and refine Primoris L&D processes and standards to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, consistent quality and continuous improvement of L&D products and services across the organization. Education & Minimum Requirements

Direct experience with Business Segment-related industries in a L&D/Training role working as a Facilitator (Instructor) and/or Workplace Trainer, Coach and/or Evaluator (Assessor).

Approximately 2-5 years’ experience within Business Segment/Craft/Operationally focused L&D and Training Programs.

Previous experience in the construction, manufacturing, mining or maintenance industries is desired.  

Clear commitment to excellence and continuous improvement and proven experience reporting results and managing stakeholder communications.

Proven experience designing, developing, implementing, and continuously improving learning and training programs and materials and a commitment to follow process and honor set standards.

Proven expertise or interest in developing expertise in Adult Learning Theory, Instructional Design, L&D process and standards development and refinement, as well as collaborative Competency, Curriculum, and Learning Content Management.

Prior experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Organizational Quality (OQ) Systems as used in Business Segment L&D/Training teams.

Ability to comfortably interact with all levels of employees, including frontline team members through executive leadership.

Experience working effectively with diverse and dispersed workforces and determining the best strategies to develop diverse and hard-to-reach populations to form part of an internally motivated, high-performing, competitive workforce.

Relationship-driven and excellent interpersonal.

Consistently demonstrate strong verbal and written communication.

Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Highly organized and able to manage diverse responsibilities, switch priorities daily, and comfortable working in a complex and fast-paced environment.

Skilled in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
