The Learning & Skill Development (LSD) organization plays a key role in installing a digital culture and mindset across the Commercial and Medical Group (CMG) as well as providing every CMG customer - be it employee, manager, healthcare provider, and patient - with the information and skills that they need next, when they need it, where they need it. LSD is pioneering advances in skills management, digital learning, experiential learning, and workflow learning.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Learning Design, the Learning Design Architect (LDA) builds the bridge between business needs and the learning and organizational change management required to achieve strategic outcomes. The LDA develops the strategy for learner journeys and curriculum content to drive business needs through skill building across multiple roles and business units.
Key Accountabilities
Organizational Understanding: The LDA drives skill and behavioral change across various job roles to achieve organizational transformation.
Domain Expertise & Skill Mapping: Develops domain expertise, maintains skill maps for all business units/job roles with a strategic mindset and action-oriented approach.
Collaboration & Data Utilization: Partners with Learning Business Partners to analyze business problems, extract data, and inform design decisions for learning solutions.
Learning Journey Design: Designs role-based learning journey maps and produces the appropriate training to support the organization’s 2-3 year transformation strategy.
Mentorship & Team Assembly: Assembles cross-functional teams to develop learning products, sets project deadlines, mentors instructional designers, and ensures the success of learning initiatives.
Required Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
You have a Masters Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or Curriculum Design or related field
5+ years of experience developing strategies and designing role-based learning journeys in large, complex organizations
Demonstrated experience leading and navigating across a matrixed team with the ability to quickly organize functional teams to develop and deliver learning projects
Demonstrated ability to work on multiple complex projects simultaneously
You are highly analytical and possess the verbal and written communication skills to consult, deliver presentations to, and influence decisions of senior business leaders
Additional Preferred Experience:
8-10 years of experience with a masters or doctorate degree
Experience working in the Pharma, Biotech or Healthcare industries
This position is based in South San Francisco and offers a hybrid work schedule, working from the office 3 days per week. Relocation benefits are not available for this posting.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location in California is $155,600 - $289,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
