Job Description:UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an intermediate-level Learning Assessment Technologist, to join Academic Technology (AT), a unit within UFIT. This position supports the university’s teaching mission and focuses on enabling student success, advancing a data-driven decision-making environment, and elevating the stakeholder experience. Employment with UFIT provides an excellent opportunity to work with other dedicated employees focused on understanding and interpreting the technological needs of the University of Florida’s innovative and inspirational community.
As part of the Center of Instructional Technology and Training, reporting to an Assistant Director, this position provides key academic assessment technology support services, such as Scantron test processing, and assists with campus-wide training on enterprise-level assessment technology, including development of training aids. The role requires a positive customer service-oriented approach while advancing equitable, innovative, evidence-based assessment practices and tools.
Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:
Securely receive, prepare, and accurately process Scantron OMR and Gradescope testing answer sheets from many departments across UF, ensuring compliance with established policies and guidelines. This may require standing for up to 30 minute intervals to operate machines. Communicate with faculty and others to effectively and efficiently utilize assessment technologies to assess student performance and evaluate course/program goals, including answering typical questions and offering solutions to common pedagogical challenges. Develops and enhances training materials to ensure it meets the evolving needs of stakeholders using assessment technology. Assists with routine administrative tasks and special projects, such as tracking performance metrics, secure record management, updating workflows, and strategic planning. Maintains knowledge of enterprise-level assessment technologies assisting with maintenance and new tool testing. Benefits
Full-time TEAMS employees accrue vacation leave at a rate of 6.769 hours biweekly/22 days annually and sick leave at 4 hours biweekly/13 days annually. In addition, employees are eligible for ten paid holidays each year.
Vacation-accruing TEAMS employees are eligible for four personal leave days/32 hours per year, assuming full-time status. These leave days may allow units to close from December 26 to 31, when possible, determined on a unit-by-unit basis.

Expected Salary:$50,000 - $52,000; commensurate based on education and experience
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:The ideal candidate will possess the following experience, abilities, and skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Education Technology, Research Evaluation and Methodology, or appropriate field. Experience implementing assessment technology in higher education including Scantron, Remark, Gradescope, iClicker, Canvas LMS and LTIs (e.g., Perusall, Packback). Experience developing professional development trainings and end user documentation. Reliable and experienced in maintaining confidentiality and/or securely handling private student records.
