Position: Learning and Development Intern

Hours: 20-25 hours per week
Pay: $20 per hour
Nations Roof is excited to offer a comprehensive internship opportunity that combines hands-on experience with leadership training, career development, and training program coordination. The intern will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, contribute to key projects, and progressively take on responsibilities in training and development across the company. You will also have exposure to cross-functional teams and a leadership training program that focuses on your growth and development.
College graduates are not eligible to participate in the internship program but are encouraged to apply to any open positions.
Key Responsibilities:
Point of Contact for Learning Hub Access Requests:Serve as the primary point of contact for managing access requests to the Learning Hub, ensuring smooth access for all employees.Reporting & Communication:
Pull reports and communicate with Business Units (BUs) to track and report on required certifications for the ELEVATE NationsTech program.Training & Certifications Maintenance:
Update and maintain training and certifications on an ongoing monthly basis in Nations Portal, ensuring the data remains current and aligned with organizational needs.Content Updates for Training:
Work with various teams to ensure training materials are consistently updated in the Learning Hub and Nations Portal, maintaining a user-friendly and organized format. Note: This role focuses on updating existing content rather than creating new materials.Learning Hub & Learning Management System (LMS) Support:
Assist in uploading new modules, certifications, and quizzes to the LMS, assigning content by role, and helping design and implement communication/training plans. This will be a great opportunity for you to take ownership of specific parts of a project.Cross-Training Opportunities:
Participate in cross-training initiatives to understand various departments, including National Service Center (NSC), accounting, and Gulf Coast operations.Assist with Proctoring Certification Exams:
Support the team with proctoring certification exams as service crews advance through the ELEVATE NationsTech program.Talent Review Committee Participation:
Attend Talent Review Committee meetings to observe the succession planning process and gain exposure to talent management and career progression strategies.Ongoing Training Material Updates:
Regularly update and refine training materials to reflect changes, such as new department heads, updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and organizational adjustments.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong Communication Skills:Ability to effectively communicate training objectives, instructions, and feedback to diverse audiences, both in writing and orally.Instructional Design Skills:
Knowledge of adult learning principles and the application of effective training methodologies to create engaging and impactful learning experiences, preferred.Organizational Skills:
Ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training delivery platforms. Understanding e-learning tools and content management is a plus.Analytical Skills:
Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, assess training needs, and measure the effectiveness of training programs to ensure continuous improvement.
